*TEWL is when water evaporates from the dermis through the epidermis

A moisturizer is to treat dry skin on the surface, help it hold moisture and act as a protective barrier. 

Our favorite hydrator is Sodium Hyaluronate (SH) as it's related to HA.  SH is the water-soluble salt form of HA and is molecularly smaller so it can be absorbed into the skin to help it hang onto internal moisture, whereas HA has a larger molecular size and cannot be absorbed into the skin, only sit on the surface.  Additionally, SH can hold up to 1000x's its own weight in water, more than any other natural substance...WOW!  Think of it like a drink of water for your skin.  Our Vitamin B-5 Hydrating Serum contains Sodium Hyaluronate and Saccharide Isomerate another exceptional humectant to help skin maintain maximum internal hydration.
